Planning

The Parish Council is consulted on all planning applications within the parish which have been submitted to Wokingham Borough Council i.e. the Planning Authority. All new planning applications are listed and displayed on the Parish Council notice boards on a monthly basis.

Wokingham Borough Council (WBC) has recently added some further information to the planning pages on their web site. The information is aimed at residents thinking about having an extension and neighbours who are worried about their neighbour’s application. The FAQs can be found at: frequently asked questions.

Parish Council Response to LPU Consultation

Lodge Road Appeal January 2023

You will all be aware of the success we had in raising funds to fight the Lodge Road Appeal as a Rule 6 Party earlier this year.  We were overwhelmed with how the Village came together and the generosity of donors.  We are now in a position where some surplus funds remain and some parishioners have suggested we ring fence these funds to fight any further appeals or applications within Hurst.  However, should you wish to received a proportional refund of your original donation (19% of what you originally donated) please contact the Parish Clerk in the first instance at Clerk@hurstpc.org.uk
